L- Mid-brown, between deep amber and mid-chestnut. Pours with very slight haze and 3mm white head.
S- More complex than a simple lager, perhaps some subtle fruit notes.
T- Follows the Smell^ it has more flavour than a 'plain lager', certainly more richness, otherwise hard for me to pin down.
F- Like a somewhat richer version of lager.
O- It's hard to pin down any defining character with this beer, it's all rather shy. It seems to be seasonal, launched in Sep-19, perhaps works over Camden lager as the months get colder. I'm not getting anything that would be reason to buy it again.
Bought at Marks & Spencer today. £2.00/330ml can. 4.6% ABV, BB: 31/3/2020.
Brewery website says of it: ' Our seasonal Hells is here - Harvest Hells Lager! All the leaves are brown… and the sky is grey. Even our Hells has taken on an autumnal tone thanks to darker roasted speciality malts that give a rich, full flavour and turn its usual summer straw-yellow to the reddish brown of autumn leaves. It’s crisp, malty and rich - like a robust version of our Hells, made in appreciation of Autumn-time.'
