A- This pours a semi hazed orange coppery colour, straight out of my Crow-ler (950 mL can!) The head starts out rather impressive, being a solid two fingers in thickness, but unfortunately dissipates very quickly into nothingness to be honest! There are many aggressive small columns of fizz rising to the top, which is what I would expect of the style. Lacing is also unfortunately watery at best, with no foam about to cling to the glass.....oh well!
S- Overall this is a mild smelling Wit, which is what it is supposed to be I guess.....I get unmalted wheat kernels, spicy citrus zest, grassy dryness, muted vanilla orange creme, white chocolate and a finish that is also dry, and of mild hop bitterness....clean would be a great word for it.
T- Clean grassy grainy wheat and barley malt flavors. Muted flavors that follow suit to the aromas of clove and nutmeg spice, mild grapefruit tart zest, with a cleansing hop presence on the finish. Overall this is an easy going flavorful brew!
M/O- Light-medium in body, with a zippy fine carbonation, this is a perfect warm weather thirst quencher! This will pair well with a flavorful pasta dish or, as I tried it with, a saucy philly cheesesteak flatbread....really cleans the palate off well! If you make it over to the taproom sometime, give this a try while it is available....it isn't the greatest beer out there, or even produced by these guys, but if you want something you don't have to think about too much, this is your beer!
