Wild Rose IPA is a beautiful copper-coloured ale, rich in caramel malt character and well balanced with plenty of hops. An authentic India Pale Ale, this IPA is handcrafted for the true ale drinker.

Coincidentally, this beer is also 69 IBU.
Very well balanced IPA. Very clean hoppy flavour but doesn't have an overwhelming taste of grapefruit that I feel is a tad too prevalent in many North American IPAs. A bit basic and some may consider it a little boring, but it's a solid beer for what it is, and newcomers to IPA would probably enjoy it.

Not sure if I got a bad batch or what. The smell was pungent, to say the least. Colour was amber with a good head. The first taste was unbearably bitter. The taste lingered indefinitely. Rinsed my palate and tried again. Nope. Was not drinkable for me by any means. Opened a second bottle in case it was just a bad bottle. Nope. Tasted like bile. Just could not drink it. Have drank several other Wild Rose Brewery products and this was the first I literally could not drink.

A decently drinkable, local IPA. Picked one up with the Wild Rose Anthology Sampler. Fairly decent look when poured into a beer chalice, copper but ever so slightly cloudy. Semi-fruity aroma (lime or grapefruit? Still developing my palate). Nothing overly exciting taste wise, fairly standard IPA. Wouldn't buy again but overall not a bad brew.

a well balanced IPA. Just the right amount of hop bite followed by malt sweetness. Aroma is fruity with a slight dankness. It's quite sessionable compared to others.

A semi-aggressive pour from the bottle nets about two fingers of foam that recedes to one finger and then a thick ring, but persists decently (and leaves nice lacing). Colour is an amber/copper, ever-so-faintly cloudy, but lighter around the edges.
Smell is citrusy hops (grapefruit especially) with a slightly toasted malty backbone. There's a faint, almost candied sweetness that I'm having trouble parsing. Taste is surprisingly well-balanced, with the hops present but the malt component really holding its own. Burnt orange, decent bitterness. A slightly citrusy, perfumey, slightly earthy, toasted flavour going on. Wish they would dial back the carbonation just a touch. But it's a fairly solid IPA generally: not flashy or in your face, but tasty and decently drinkable.
