This was one of the beers that I picked up at the Grocery Outlet in Alturus, California when I was out that way last summer. Never had anything from Feather Falls before as I wanted to have something on the road that would be easygoing and easy to drink. Indeed, that was the case with this as it stayed true to form and it's description on the label!
Like any Pils of this style, this poured golden with a nice brightness and a lively head, as the age of this liquid showed through pretty quickly! The foam lasted long enough but the lacing left behind was spotty, along the bottom half of my pint glass. Lots of bread, Noble Hops, and some cracker in the nose as the taste included some floral notes and grain in the back. Balanced, not terribly sharp, and carbonated just enough to keep this lively and non-skunky.
Hard to detect the alcohol in this as this would be a near-perfect lawnmower beer for the summer. Looked like this was best by September of last year as it held up well in my basement once I came home. Not the biggest fan of this style but when done right, it's refreshing and unoffensive just like this enjoyable offering!
