Pours a gold colour with a light pink tinge. Slight cloud topped with a white sparsely foamy head. Alright.
Beautiful tangy aroma with a sweet rose floral tinge to it. Rosewater giving a slight touch of musk. Very aromatic with a pot pourri edge to it, only not disgusting. In fact it's very enticing.
Big rose character carries on to the palate, but a lot more IPA here to counterbalance it. Bit of spice on the mid-palate I think is just a clash of rose and bittering hops which are quite astringent; fair amount of acid that gets almost ashy at the back. Nice tang form the rose petals upfront could have lasted a bit longer, to be honest. Hops dominate the finish.
Decent body, bit of carbonation. Bit unexciting.
Maybe could be better using the same rose characters in a saison or Belgian pale; the hops are quite bitter at the back and they completely subjugate the floral notes tilting this a little off-balance. Doesn't quite mesh after a while.

A clear golden coloured pour with a smooth, white head. Fair head retention. The aroma comes out with a deep floral aroma and some fruitiness. Nice and clean with the flowers really showing. A slightly harsh bitterness mars the otherwise light flavour. The fruitiness is fine but the rose character is lacking to my taste. A moderate body with moderately high carbonation seems perfectly appropriate for the style. On the whole, this is a decent beer with a fantastic aroma. Lacking flavour though which lets the whole thing down.

On-tap at the Great Australasian Beer Spectapular in Melbourne. Rose-petal infused IPA.
Pours a mildly hazed golden colour with a firm body. Head is white, forming a ring of large bubbles. Decent lace and tiny streaming carbonation. Looks decent.
Wow. Nose is intense. Big rose aroma giving fresh Turkish delight and pot pourri, mingled with herbal overtones. Hops don't come through much, but here the aroma is taken up by the other elements. Nice.
Herbal entry on the front of the palate, with a green brightness leading the way. On the middle is more rosewater and petal characteristics, and the genesis of some slightly different, more organic or savoury herbal characters that continue towards the backāhere they're spicy, minty and vegetative, and the bitterness is more pronounced.
Feel is light and crisp, which is surprising given everything else that's going on in this beer.
The bitterness builds up over a while, meaning it loses a little drinkability, but otherwise, this is a great twisty and exciting brew. Great work.
