500mL bottle from Beer Cellar, NZ, via mulder1010.
Pale straw, smidgin of haze to it, with a sheet white head of moderate size that falls to a slightly raised ring.
Suitably crisp nose, showing cut grass, pear, stonefruit and honeyed elderflower. There's a pleasant grainy nuttiness that helps keep it rounded. Nice stuff.
Flavours emphasise spicy grass and grainy malts before transitioning into a very dry metallic bitterness which is harsh but not altogether unpleasant.
Light body, with jazzy carbonation contributing to the brusque dryness.
Satisfying, interesting and well conceived, but the dryness is a little intense to my tastes.
