355ml can poured into tulip 29/11/16

A clear straw yellow, big bubbles pop up from everywhere feeding a thumbs width of foam that hangs around for a while leaving some random lace

S dried grass, lots of cereal and a little spicy noble notes, floral with a hint of lemon

T more spicy hops, still plenty of cereals, hits the style fairly well

M light, crisp, not a clean finish with spice and grass lingering for ages

O I think they hit the style fairly well with this one, about what I expect and hope for

Better suited for a hot day I'm sure but I enjoyed this one, easily the best out of the mixed pack

355ml single can, part of the current 2016-2017 Season Pass mixed pack. Ain't no outdoor ice just yet around here to skate on, but I'm sure it won't be long.

This beer pours a clear, bright pale golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat fizzy off-white head, which leaves some sagging laundry line lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.

It smells of crisp, biscuity pale malt, white saltine crackers, black and white pepper dust, a hint of earthy yeast, subtle Euro gasohol notes, and some peppy leafy, grassy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and crackery pale malt, a further cereal graininess, some soft apple and generic citrus fruit character, an ephemeral petrol astringency, and more leafy, earthy, and grassy noble hoppiness.

The bubbles are decently active in their swirling frothiness, the body a solid medium weight, and generally smooth, with maybe a touch of hop edginess gently marring things a tad here. It finishes off-dry, but barely, as the biscuity nature of the malt, and the still good to go hops push the envelope, as such.

Overall, I gotta say - I like this! Nice and full-flavoured, with a crisp, edgy, and biscuity leaning that I maybe wasn't quite expecting. At any rate - this is very enjoyable, and I could certainly see crushing another few of these from the mixed pack, were that I actually had one - dem's the singles-buying breaks, sometimes.
