Poured from a 650ml bottle.
A: Pours a clear fairly dark reddish brown with a very thin white head and minor lacing.
S: A sweet caramel hop wet bread nose.
T: A bitter caramel hoppy hit .
F: Medium body it could use a bit more carbonation.
O: Not a bad Red IPA worth a try for sure it does have some hops there.

650ml bottle - anniversary, eh? Why not mention on the label which one, 'cause I don't feel like looking it up right now!

This beer pours a clear, dark red-brick brown colour, with a metric handful of puffy, rocky, and chunky beige head, which leaves some well-dispersed splotchy and blotchy lace around the glass as it lazily subsides.

It smells of semi-sweet, bready and doughy caramel malt, a hint of biscuity toffee, some muddled black orchard fruitiness, plain nut-flecked cocoa powder notes, and some moderately edgy leafy, weedy, and somewhat perfumed floral hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, some consistent biscuity toffee squares, fading bittersweet chocolate, some oily bar-top nuttiness, still hard to parse citrus and bruised stone fruit esters, and more wannabe herbal, leafy, and musty verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is adequate in its supportive and measured frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and generally smooth, with a subtle airy creaminess evolving as things warm up a tad around here. It finishes off-dry, the malt holding fast, as the hops start to gear up to meekly take back the lingering night.

Overall, this is a serviceable enough hopped-up red ale, with the choice of American and Euro varietals probably a contributing factor. Easy to drink, none too challenging, and I suppose worthy of attracting new friends as a craft brewery somewhat gracefully ages.
