Poured from 473mL can into my 8th Wonder chalice. Canned on 4/23/25.
Appearance: pale golden hue with a light haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: a bit sweet with some earthy wheaty aroma and a ton of watermelon. Like, I can't tell if it's fresh watermelon or like a Jolly rancher dissolved in the brew. It definitely has the cucumber-ey vibe of real melon. It's not too bad, but it's a bit ... much.
Taste: moderate sweetness with a bit of salt and tartness characteristic of a gose. The watermelon works better here than in the aroma, but still, there's a hint of artificiality to it. Maybe I'm not doing the brewer justice, but it just doesn't feel natural.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: you know, this beer isn't perfect, but it is still very refreshing and is a nicely drinkable 4.4%. Kind of like a radler or shandy or something. I'm happily quaffing this.
