Pours amber with big beige head. Full of hoppy aromas (citrus fruits) as soon as you open the bottle. Alcohol level is covered pretty well, bittersweet taste that is nothing sort of fantastic (citrus fruit, pine, malt, resin). All-in-all an exquisite beer, especially at this price.

An Imperial India Red Ale from a Greek microbrewery, with 9% alcohol and 3 types of hops, all made by a... winemaker!
From opening and pouring in the glass, everything feels pleasant. It has a dark reddish-brown colour, with dense and cloudy appearance, but homogeneous, with no visible sediments.
Strong smell of hops and dried fruits.
The fruity flavours instantly make their presence felt and the lips stick to the glass after a few sips, highlighting the sweetness behind the strong, grassy and relatively bitter hops.
It has a strong body, supported by persistent flavors throughout the tasting and even afterwards.
Alcohol feels more volatile, not spoiling with any of the beer qualities.
Some spices (nutmeg) can be felt in the background, wrapped in the final notes.
The bottle has 500ml, so you'll have a longer experience!
Recommended! I did not think there was such a good beer in Greece.

Septem Lava Imperial Indian Red Ale, at 9% abv.
Look: Very dark red like brown-red colour, with 2 to 3 finger creamy brown head & mild carbonation.
Smell: Lots of caramel, malty & hoppy aromas with dark fruits.
Taste & Feel: Very drinkable & quite refreshing. The sweetness from the malts is balanced with the bitterness of the hops which is definitely there (with 80 IBU).
Overall, a very nice Double IPA, especially if you want to try the style for the first time. Looking forward to drink this one again.Cheers

L: Hazy red color, two finger off white head, ok lacing, no visible carbonation.
S: Hops, tropical fruits.
T: Hoppy, sweet, tropical fruits. Bitter on the back end. Warming sensation on throat.
F: Full bodied, yet quite drinkable.
O: Very good DIPA. It's not juicy or overly fruity but pretty good nonetheless. It will become a regular of mine for sure.
