Larnaca 1/10 2022. 50 cl bottle from Alfamega hypermarket, Larnaca. Off-white label with a drawing of a simple stone house and their own style description “Heretic Lager” in gold.
Pours clear pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor. Sweet pale malts, bread, grains and cereals. An almost sugary quality.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
A malty and fairly clean take on a Helles.
