Poured from 330mL bottle into my BeerAdvocate teku.
Appearance: rich golden color with a dash of haze; it’s a nice color, but there’s practically no head to speak of.
Smell: malty and sweet — perhaps overly sweet. The base Enfant Terriple isn’t bad, but I don’t really think the rum barrel added anything at all here; if anything, I think the beer suffers from the added sweetness and dash of oxidation.
Taste: sweet, of course, though not cloyingly so; there’s a hint of tartness here, but again, a bit of oxidation as well. I think there’s the promise of something good here, but the execution leaves something to be desired.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a light carbonation and an okay texutre.
Overall: I’m not really loving this beer. Based on the other review, I don’t think I got a bad bottle specifically — I think that this beer is just kinda polarizing. Not terrible, but definitely not my fave.

Look: tannish amber, no head or lacing. Looked like a bad bottle at first.
Smell: rum, some hops
Taste: rum up front, followed by sour, followed by hops and malt. Rum is definite, slightly sweet but no alcohol burn. The sour edge is strong enough that I checked the label to be sure I read it correctly. Hops and malt make a tasty base. Delicious rum and hops aftertaste that lingers.
Feel: nearly no carbonation, a touch thin.
Overall: stellar. I will make a special effort to buy this again and would eagarly try anything else by this brewer.
