On draught at The Greyfriars pub in Reading. Although brewed with American hops (Comet and Hallertau Blanc) this is nonetheless an English-style golden ale. Hops are used mainly for bittering and the aroma and flavour is floral over light caramel malt. It pours clear, pale gold with a thin head, spotty lacing and no carbonation. Mouthfeel is light and smooth with a very dry finish. Despite the unusual hops, this is an unexceptional pale ale. Refreshing and dry but lacks body, taste and aroma.
