Larnaka 17/7 2017. 50 cl can from Theodorou Food Center. Very maritime can with a sailboat in a fresh sea. You almost expect Odysseus to jump right in your face. But no such luck.

Pours clear very pale yellow with small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Modest lacing.

Aroma is weak. Sweet malts with faint fruity notes and with metallic undertone.

Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate.

Flavor is rather sweet followed by more light slightly rough bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter.

Not terrible - and not as thin and watery as many Pale Lagers in this part of the World. Despite the modest ABV.

500 ml can, in Rhodos. Brewed by Olympic Breweries. ABV is 4%. Golden colour, large white head. Aroma of sweetish malts and newmown grass. Smooth to drink, fairly fresh and slightly fruity, goes down easy, but the hops are too moderate.

I tried this whilst on vacation in Greece....I believe I bought it on Rhodes. It poured a clear golden with fizzy head that did not leave any lace. The scent had faint grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its an ok beer.

.5L blue and gold aluminum can acquired at a Carrefour supermarket in Kardamena, Kos, Greece as part of a 4-pack. Reviewed live. Expectations are below average given the brewery.

Served cold and side-poured with standard vigor into a pilsner glass.

"Aegean." "Mediterranean Lager Beer." Brewed and canned by Mythos Brewery. BB: 04/2015.

No bubble show forms as it's poured.

HEAD: Pours a two finger wide head of white colour. Disappointingly thin. Lacks creaminess, fullness, froth, and a good consistency. Leaves no lacing as it recedes. Retention is average - about 2 minutes.

BODY: Clear yellow-copper of average vibrance. Clean; no yeast particulate or hop sediment is visible.

Overall, it looks pretty standard for the style. There's nothing unique or special about it.

AROMA: Overly sweet. Barley. Helles malts. That's it.

No hops or yeast here - at least none that's detectable. Luckily, it doesn't seem boozy or watery, but so far it's not seeming like a very good brew.

Average in strength.

TASTE: Yup, it's too sweet. Some barley and helles malts are all I taste. Painfully simple and rudimentary, with no interesting or remarkable characteristics whatsoever.

To its credit, though, it's not watery. It does taste like a beer, shallow as its flavours are.

TEXTURE: Light-bodied but unrefreshing. Smooth, wet, and a bit too thick. Overcarbonated.

This texture is mediocre.

OVERALL: It's a macrolager in Greece. And it's affordable. That's about all I can say about this beer without criticizing it. It's boring and bland, but in fairness it's fairly easy to drink in spite of its low quality. It'll meet the low expectations of the experienced beer fanatic.
