Copenhagen 29/4 2016. 33 cl bottle from BarleyWine, Admiralgade, Kbh. K. Roaring Sabertooth Tiger om the label. A bit too old (BB end of January 2016).
Pours hazy copper brown with a big yellowish head. Settles as a creamy crown of foam coverg the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing on the side of the glass.
Sweetish aroma of fermented exotic fruit with notes of orange and grapefruit providing a little balance.
Soft carbonation and thick oily texture. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a bit of sweetness but is overpowered by a quite prominent hoppy bitterness which dominates the aftertaste.
Tasty IPA which does not save on the hops.

Copper filtered with lots of super fine bubbles and a half finger of off white head.
Pine resin, orange blossom, malt and battery acid, onions.
Orange marmalade, honey, blossoms, caramel and a hit of resinous bitterness on the finish. Oh yes, garlic.
Medium syrupy body, slightly low carbonation. Resinous coating on left on the tongue.
Really American style IPA coming from the UK. Found at Beer Lab in CNX, drank here March 5, 2016.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2014. Picked up recently from Trafalgar Wines in Brighton. Bring on the hops!
A: Poured into a snifter. Bottle conditioned. A hazy orange-amber hue with fine sediment and light carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before subsiding to a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of zealously fruity hops with hints of grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, subtle pine, mango, tropical fruit, mild white fruit, caramel malt, earthy yeast and faint stewed hops. Delicious!
T: Tastes of intense aromatic hops with a prolongued bitter finish. Notes of pine, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, tropical fruit, mild white fruit, caramel malt, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Slightly sweet, followed by a powerful hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and good body. Pretty astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, pine, caramel malt and mild yeast.
O: Very nice - a big IPA that hits the spot. Looks fine, while the aroma and flavour are stuffed with fruity hops underpinned by a caramel backbone. Good bitterness. Lovely body. A hop-head's delight; well worth sampling if you come across it.
