This was drunk in a big beer night
and even without notes I can tell you all about it
Full on good fresh coffee
even felt like there was bits of fresh ground in there
the aroma the taste
very bitter, extremely intense and slightly creamy
not heavy going mouthfeel while but it is a huge coffee taste that
though I enjoyed hugely was glad I only had a half
very welcomed

Pours black with a large, fading tan head.
Nose shows slightly stale coffee, roasted malt, and more coffee... little else.
Very similar flavours; stale coffee and plain roasted malt. Some toasty notes too.
Carbonation is too high.
Get rid of the stale coffee note and this could be quite good.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a Fullers snifter glass.
Pours a dark black colour with an off-white head.
Smells strongly of coffee, dark and burnt malts, and a very slight hint of vanilla.
Taste reflects the smell, with bitter and rich coffee, roasted and bitter malts, slight fruity and bittersweet hops.
Overall a really nice beer, could do with a bit more body but packs a hefty punch for the strength.
