Supposedly a 'dry-hopped' porter brewed for the GABS Festival in Melbourne, May 2013. Not sure if this is the right entry, but I can't find sufficient info to add a separate dry-hopped version to their repertoire on BA. Anyway, sample on tap at the festival.
Pours a dark brown colour, large bubbly beige head, sticks around quite nicely. Looks good.
Smells fairly portery. Chocolate notes with a touch of caramel malt, some roast and a slight sweet clove note. Bit sweet overall, but not bad.
Taste is similar. Chocolate malt notes upfront that develops a light roasty character midway, together with some spice notes of black pepper and licorice. Not bad, but quite thin and simple, and don't get a lot of dry-hopping flavour here or on the nose.
Nice body, however. Decent fullness and nice texture.
Not getting much hop at all. A decently-made porter that tastes a little thin at times.

Half pint from keg, Tap East 12/9/13.
Pours a inky black colour with a small white head.
Smells roasted and sweet.
Tastes quite dry but fizzy. Dark bittersweet malts, well balanced with a decent hop level added in to the mix.
Overall a pretty nice beer. Can't help thinking how well it would do on cask.
