Named after our close neighbor with an eerie history that’s best told with this brew in hand. This tasty ale is mashed with delicious pumpkin then spiced in the kettle with cinnamon, vanilla beans, and brown sugar.

The pour is burnt orange. The taste is big pumpkin along with some cinnamon & clove. Cheers! B

I'll give it credit in that at least it doesn't taste bad but come on guys I know they make more flavorful beer than this. This feels good but tastes like absolutely nothing. Probably my lowest rated beer from here which sucks cuz I like this place but it is what it is. Tastes like nothing.
Revisited this one and it was still not amazing but much better

Very metallic, almost stoutish and too focused on carbonation

L: Clear caramel colored. Fairly active.
S: Crisp ale with spice.
T: It starts with some roasty toasty barley malt. There's a noble hop. Some ginger. Nutmeg. Clove.
F: Semi dry sticky finish. It leans towards the sweet side, but not overly so with the addition of hops. It drinks like a 5% even though it's at 7%.
O: It's local, and priced well. It has a moderate flavor and stands with the best pumpkin ales of 2020.

Thanks goes out to MastaaaGrillaaa for this brew, from NBS BIF#6
12 oz. Bottle
Bottled On: 11/06/17
Poured a pretty nice slightly hazy dark golden amberish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with some pumpkin, nutmeg, cinammon, spice. The taste is pretty nice, malty, pumpkin, cinammon, nutmeg, spice. Medium body, ABV hidden pretty well with this one. Overall, a tasty brew. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it.

August 27, 2017:
Growing up on the west side of Cleveland I remember hearing about Franklin Castle. I guess it's still there. It was always an overrated dump but this is a great pumpkin ale.
It pours dark orange with fine bubbles. The aroma is weak pumpkin and a bit of malty alcohol. The taste is not very pumpkin-like (and that's fine) but a very malty ale taste with some hops poking through. The aftertaste is big and bold and somewhat bitter. Pumpkins find their way to your burp. This may not be one you would want to drink several of, but it is one to have again and again.
Recommended.

2017 me had it right. It is a quality ale. I guess it has the same character (though I did not actually remember the taste). I have had three great pumpkin brews this year, all from Cleveland, and one honorable mention, not local.
