From deep in the brewmaster’s recipe archive comes this blend of honey and hops, which yields a strong, bittersweet elixir that deserves its name. The tasting notes from the very first batch, made more than 20 years ago, proclaim, ” Mmm.. that tastes like trouble!”

You looking for trouble? You've come to the right place.
This one looks real nice, with big head and a deep golden color. The aroma is a rich hoppy, malty smell. All nice.
The taste is very bitter - a pure hops bitter. The amazing finish is where that bit of honey comes out.
All around, this is a very nice treat. Bitter, well made, unique, and refreshing. I would like more!

Freshest by 11/28/16. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy copper; fluffy off-white head that slowly falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are malty with some sticky caramel notes. Slightly floral. There's also a subtle mixture of citrus and tropical notes. The flavors follow the nose. Solid malt backbone, but nice hop flavors and bitterness as well. Lots of caramel notes. Some orange and grapefruit in the mix. Slightly earthy and spicy. Some pine notes. The honey is noticeable. There's a subtle warmth, but nothing crazy. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's extremely fluffy and smooth. Dangerously drinkable.
This is a nice brew. It comes off as a hoppy red ale, in my opinion. Well crafted and enjoyable stuff.

4-pack purchased from local grocery store (Heinen's) for $11.93 otd.
12oz bottle poured into SA glass. Clear, copper-honey elixir, 3 finger head peaks atop the glass. Slightly yellow-white thick bubbles with plenty of lacing.
The nice floral, citrus tones mingle with a "balanced" bready malt presence. Uh-oh.
There is a nice dank, resinous hop bitterness here that never gets a chance to establish its dominance before the malt wave comes to crash the party. Some smooth back end hops linger, foretelling what could have been.
Medium body, slightly under carbonated. Alcohol bleeds over.
What could have been. Has just above mediocrity established a foothold on W25th?

A decent ipa, the honey is there, but nothing to write home about.
