1916 Colorado Lager is designed to be similar to the beer that would have been available in Denver around the time of Colorado prohibition which started in 1916. The base is a Dortmund beer and the use of 2-row barley and flaked corn make it uniquely American.

L:. Pours a very pale straw yellow with a small white head and no lacing on the glass.
S:. Sweet grain, a bit of vegetable and a light hop.
T:. Grain, a touch of apple, and quite bitter for lager.
F:. Light and crisp body.
O:. Very reminiscent of a hoppy AAL.

Looks great. Poured from can into a Tripel Karmeleit tulip glass . Took a couple of swigs. Poured it out.
Tastes like grapefruit juice and pine needles. Absolutely wretched.

12 oz. Can
Just bought this, it should not be retired.
Poured into a Squatters true pint glass a pretty nice clean/clear dark golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice one-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, hoppy, little citrus note. The taste is pretty nice, malty, hoppy, citrusy, nice little sweetness. Medium body, ABV hidden nicely. Overall, a tasty brew, nice thirst quencher.

Light, golden body; thin, foamy white head, sticky with globs of foam along the glass. Malt nose; honey. Honey and biscuit flavors; herbal; balanced bitterness offsetting things. Medium body; warm and crisp with a crystalline sugar snap.
This is not a bad little beer, perhaps a bit too strong on the sweetness-side of things, but toasty and flavorful and otherwise decent enough...
