On-tap served in a pint glass at Taproom, Bangkok.
Mildly hazed deep amber hue with a half finger of short-life foamy off-white head that dissipates to nothing without trace of visible lacing.
Ripe blackberry, berries tart, sour, acidic, some fruity ester, wood barrel, oaky touch, a bit spicy, some malty sweet, the aroma is quite good overall.
Blackberry sour and tart still dominates the taste buds with its pleasantly sharp fruity sour together with some yeasty acidic. Then it is a time for barrel character to shine with its intense complexity notes of oak, wood, spicy and sweet alcohol, yet some heat. The middle until the finish reveals a complicated trace of all the flavors stated above with the addition of sweet malt and slight bittering hop. The aftertaste is very lasting with all those flavors nicely blended up.
Rather full body with some crisp from its small to medium carbonation that is quite enough to carry all the things well underneath the semi-smooth palate, dry finish.
Truly ecstasy in a glass, complex as aforementioned many times, everything is nicely packed up with real quality, from sourness, tartness, spiciness, fruitiness, barrel, sweetness, and bitterness as well as some pleasantly alcohol burnt, but please do not misunderstanding, it is not that much kind of uncovered booze since it is quite hidden behind.

On tap at the Taphouse. Good warmer after a wet ride. Pours flat, but still waters run deep. Dark brown/ruby body, no head. Sour aroma, but flavor adds heaps of side notes; wood, plums, berries. Finishes bitter and dry. Nice!

Draft at b:30 and bittercreek... Pours clear orange with a short-lived white head... Heavy sour notes with plenty of wood and tannic notes.. plum skins.. pretty heavy alcohol... Not the best barleywine or sour I've had in a while, but the best Ecstasy I've had in years. ;-)
