solid ipa here, bright and punchy, fruit forward but also bitter, well refined, and i think with a pretty distinctive hop profile, cashmere, idaho 7, and simcoe from what i understand, juicy and tropical, summery but not all dry hops either, and a nice back and forth with the grain. not a hazy beer, but it definitely does not look filtered either, orangey with an inch of pure white head on it, enough carbonation but not totally popping off, and it smells good and fresh to me. definite tangerine in the nose, a hint of lemon curd, pineapple from the can, and subtle white wine too, none of the onion character i sometimes get from idaho 7, and lower alpha to me for simcoe, i think i get some melon here too, yellow peach, and weed gummy, like that slightly dank fruit punch thing. the flavor is similar although more grain than the nose, a hint of honey maybe but its not sweet really, graham cracker, some body, lightly brassy but even with all that i think this stays really bright and fresh, clean too on the ferment and its fast finishing for how flavorful it is, mandarin orange and tangerine with a little late pine, decent bitterness, solid overall west coast ipa, nice use of the cashmere hops, which to me are the most forward of them. cool to get to drink a bunch of new ones from heretic recently, this is less ambitious than the beers i know them for, but its tasty and the hop profile is real nice!

Had on tap in Indianapolis, of all places. Pours a hazy pale apricot yellow. I could barely detect any aroma. Not much hop flavor. The look and taste reminds me a bit in style of a beer you might get from Portland Maine, but lacks citrus or hops to balance out the flavor. The flavor is peach pith with slight malty notes on the finish. A bit watery for my taste. It isn’t bad, but it isn’t good either.
