Remember this beer, as I purchased it at TW&M. Big alcohol taste and nice roasted malts. Alcohol muted the hops. Just one of these 16oz cans will get you going. Pretty sweet also. I think I got these about 3 years ago.

Received as a Christmas gift from a friend, but it still has the $5.69 label on it. Especially intrigued because there are only 8 reviews of this beer on Beer Advocate, making it a rarity. Popped it in the fridge to cool it down a couple hours ago. This will be the first official quad IPA i've ever tried. I love the picture of the devil on the label. My kind of beer. Let's see what it's like. Poured straight down the center of the skull glass, resulting in a heavy three inch milky white head that doesn't disintegrate in any hurry. Smells quite fruity, grapefruit, orange, and lemon zest. Taste is overwhelmingly orange, or like I just bit into a ripe tangerine, with a bit of grapefruit juice on the tail end of the swallow. Quite delicious I must say. Mouthfeel is thin and bubbly, very drinkable. I can't believe this is 14% abv, what a subtle slammer this is, gonna knock me over the head with its strength.Overall I would give this high marks as it's quite juicy (hence the name), and very thirst quenching. What an excellent experience for my first quad IPA. A taste to remember!

The first impression is that for any kind of an IPA, this is thinly and lightly colored. It's close to being a translucent faint amber. There's not much of a head and there's no glass lacing, common among the big ABV brews. There's a good sharp and piney hop aroma emanating from the clear glass Imperial pint mug. Malt and even alcohol seem to be well hidden. To the taste, the hops noticed are juicy, but there is a pronounced alcohol presence. There's a little sweetness, rather than character from the malt, no doubt abetted by the alcohol. At 14% ABV, how could there not be. Almost a one reason beverage, to get a quick buzz. Even when sipped, the alcohol overpowers the hoppy. There's almost no evidence of a malt taste contribution. The mouthfeel is way light, opening the opportunity for a bit of an alcohol burn. Even those that like a quick alcohol buzz may find this difficult to down. One and done here and definitely not recommended.

16oz can poured into an IPA nonic. Pale straw and effervescent with a small white head. Strong candied hop and crystal malt sweetness, big boozy character, piney hops, grapefruit, some resin, bready malt, citrus peel, hop bitterness and boozy dryness on the finish. She’s a big one.

Can from new leaf aptos.
Not dated but clearly released for 4th of July 3 days ago.
Look: opaque hazy yellow. Not a lot of head. A little sediment at the bottom (unfiltered).
Smell: not a lot happening. Some citrus/pine/stonefruit.
Taste: molasses or rye. Banana. Lemons. Bitter. Booze, not surprisingly more as it warms up.
Feel: kind of juicy. Not thick.
Overall: I think we all know the big hook of this beer. It’s a 3-in-1 deal. You can say you’re going to have beer, but in the alcohol department you’re having 3. The comically high 14% abv is well hidden. I guess they really can call it a quadrupel ipa.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Bright yellow golden, small tight creamy head. Citrusy aroma, bready malts and enough ABV to alert you to what comes next. Caramel malts, citrus peel, almost like a bottle of citrus solvent. A steady burn throughout. Thick and creamy.

Poured from a can - murky and turbid lemon juice with quickly dissipating white head leaving a fair amount of foamy/frosty lacing. Nose is a bit on the dank/citrus/sour side -kinda unappealing . Taste is mildly mellow in the same direction ,a little sweet but quite good and smooth. For a 14% brew it's really drinkable with a weirdly juicy and citric finish. This is dangerous.

Had this one on tap at Orange and Brew, I was a little surprised by this one. It's a big 14% but the alcohol is pretty well hidden. It has a nice tropical smell to it. The taste is what surprised me the most, very sweet and not a whole lot of bitterness. It also had a fairly creamy mouthfeel to.
