i like heretic a lot, but they are somehow consistently underappreciated for their hoppy beer, which to me is way ahead of the curve. this is one of my favorite recent hazy types, its light like a session, but i wish more of them felt like this, yellowish and frosted looking from the tap, but not milky and massive, and its so carbonated, its got a crushable texture and i love that, so often missing from the style. the hops are bright and clean and fresh in both aroma and flavor, nothing at all in the green camp, the vegetal side, bitterness and bite are nonexistent, yet its still so boldly flavored, and finally a beer with juicy in the name that is exactly that. drippy ripe melon and navel oranges, maybe a little pop of drying acidity too, lemongrass, orange tang, its delicious. the grain is light and earthy, wheaty, simple, out of the way but balancing in a modern sense, and the fermentation is immaculately clean. if they are using some new fangled vermont strain, a london blend, or something scandinavian in here, its done in such a way as to have almost no taste, which i prefer in a hazy, not sure why so many brewers insist on yeast character in these, for me it has never belonged, the dryness here is rad too. maybe not the most unique hop profile here, but the beer is objectively better than so many others that i dont even really need that to be interested in this. good counts for a lot here. get yourself some of this if you are tired of the poorly refined and sloppy hazy beers, i was very impressed!

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Pours out looking like orange juice. Aroma is light orange and tangerine. Taste is also citrusy, more peel than fruit. Very subdued and easy on the palate. Nice weight and feel.
