insanely light and easy drinking rice lager, lacking anything super distinctive, and minimal even for this style really, but decidedly well made, nowhere for flaws to hide in a beer like this. pours almost clear, light lighter than yellow, clear and bright and short headed with fine carbonation. it doesnt smell like much, but i think thats fine for what it is, light starch, dry cereal character, and some minerality but certainly short of metallic, lager yeast is also present, familiar and way back, tidy. the flavor has subtle floral character from the rice but even that is pretty mellow, if crisp were a flavor, this would be it, its just there and gone, tastes like beer for a second, then its dry and time for another sip. i get some back end noble hops to it, wouldnt say grassy, too light for that, and this ends up being a good companion to some spicy food because its so quenching, without the food context it may be overly minimal, but again, its solid in its construction and overall execution, and is plenty refreshing, drinkable, and agreeable to just about anyone who likes beer i have to imagine. less can be more, and the brightness and ease of this make it appealing, even if it lacks a little in the personality department...
