12 FL. OZ. bottle
Served in a snifter
This beer pours black and is topped with a scant mocha head.
The smell has chocolate, maple, vanilla, caramel, and a pecan pie filling smell.
The booze is not hidden in the taste. It is booze forward. I get chocolate. There are underlying flavors of caramel and vanilla. The alcohol is kind of the center of attention, i.e. it's hot.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
It smelled great. I figured the booze would have settled down after a couple years. I was wrong. I don't mind too much though. I like booze.

2018. Just called Maple Pecan Night Fury, but I assume this is the right one anyway.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like candied pecan, caramel, maple, milk chocolate, and bourbon.
This still has some bright maple/pecan character, even being a two year old bottle. The pecan is nutty, and adds some sweetness, and caramelized character. There's a nice not too sweet maple character as well, as well as oak and a touch of bourbon. There's also roast and chocolate.
This is medium bodied, and not really boozy at all, with a good drinkability to it.
This is a very underrated series all around.

2018, wax bottle, from Junior. Into Ommegang snifter.
Deep obsidian inky black with a thin head of 1/2 finger, receding to a fingernail leaving sparse lacing on the glass.
Aroma is of ashy roasted malt, dark hot fudge, chocolate cake, glazed earthy pecans, and caramel. Some notes of brown sugar somewhere in there too.
Flavor is massive but bitter, bringing a ton of fudge and bitter earthy pecan, with notes of maple syrup, powdered sugar, piney hop, ashy malt, and finally a finish of chocolate.
Feel is huge and thick, nicely aggressively carbonated, lots of dry roastiness, alcohol heat, etc etc. All very spot on.
Overall, just a very well-done stout. I could use a little less earthy/piney bitterness but otherwise this beer is just stellar.

Awesome maple, smooth mouth feel, boozy and just a fantastic barrel aged stout with maple.

No maple or pecan flavor just tastes like Night Fury which is good but not getting any maple or pecan flavor.
