Poured into a Bruery RS tulip glass. Given to me by a good friend.
Regular pour yields a nice head that hangs out for a while. I’ve always loved the look of Night Fury and it’s countless variants, and the feel is even better. Thick, chewy, and a little slick on the tongue.
The smell doesn’t really hit you hard with the French toast components, rather, I get a lot of barrel. No cinnamon to be found, but some sweet maple.
The taste - even as it warms to room temp - is all buttery bourbon and maple sweetness. The cinnamon is absent, and the vanilla isn’t making a dent either. As it warms, it gets much sweeter.
Overall, it’s alright; it’s ok. There are much better iterations of “French Toast” beers, whether stouts, porters, or scotch ales, and definitely better variants of NF.
