Bottle, probably from Edo? Pitch black colour. Light brown head, short retention. Aroma's of sweet drop/licorice, light roast, chocolate and fruit. Retronasal I get some fruit, light roast, chocolate, a touch of wood and umami. Flavour is moderate sweet, chocolatey, light roasted. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Long finish with some wood and roast, moderate bitter. The barrel ageing is very subtle, or the bottle is too old. Still a very nice beer.
