I visited the Café 't Arendsnest in Amsterdam on 02OCT12 and started with a 0.25l glass of this Tripel, at €3.50.
My small chalice was filled with a bright, golden-hued bier. Had minimal carbo and was a little cloudy. Head was a bit off-white, rocky, and lasted well, with very nice lacing. Nose was mildly bready with some fruit coming forth as well. The body was a touch less than medium, but it was real smooth with little roughness.
Flavor kicked off with mild fruitiness and subtle sweetness. It had a bit of a yeasty character, with some spicyiness evident in the dry finish. Nice!!
