This is a great big IPA made with light and medium caramel malts, Palisade, Simcoe, Chinook and Amarillo hops. 7.2%abv and 100IBU. The color is a clear, dirty gold. Almost amber. There's almost no head, just a little soapy ring and attendant lacing. Aroma is misleadingly light, fruity, sweet with plenty of pine. Huge pine in the front. Huge. Spicy, yet really quite malty sweet. A thick, creamy body with a nutty, piney, grapefruit finish. Miles of hops. This is pretty darn good. And pretty ballsy for a small-town brewpub.
