This is The Giant aged in a 10-gal whiskey barrel from Garrison Brothers in nearby Hye, Texas. It was released for American Craft Beer Week
A - poured up jet black with a small dark brown head
S - dark roasted malt with vanilla-like whiskey notes
T - starts off slightly roasty with some hops coming through towards the end and finishes with a nice, subtle whiskey flavor that doesn't overpower, but accents the malt
M - thick and silky. Leaves some sweetness on my lips.
D - defintely well balanced, but still a sipper. Get it while you can.
