Congratulations! Welcome to flavor country. This most recent FFF’s pale ale has just the malt backbone to support an explosive juicy hop profile derived from a new blend of proprietary hops. Cheers.

12 oz. Bottle courtesy of Gillagorilla, thank you Bruh!
Since I dont get 3Floyds here in central Maryland, I didnt know about this beer's existence. Now its time to sip this brew. The brew pours gourgeous IMO. Its unfiltered and looks like straight up honey in my glass. Honey Amber body with a nice soapy white head. Nice bright orange hues around the glass. Actually, it looks like an orange sunburst finish on the body of a Gibson Les Paul. Beautiful looking brew.
The aroma is very interesting. First whiff is of bright citric hops (Grapefruit and Orange zest). Then a very earthy/resinous hops are present in the background. Then a nice subtle spiciness follows through to bring a warm feeling to the nose. The malts also bring in sugary sweetness. Pretty outstanding.
The flavor is at first sweet bringing the malts to first. After the brew plays on the tongue for a while, the hops become more presentable. The citric zesty hops are first dominant. That lasts for a while while fading into a nice peach note. Some of the hops have a cut grass flavor, not too shabby. Toward the finish theres a hint of resinous hops, making it more earthy. This finishes clean and smooth, not overly bitter nor dry. Lingering resinous hops take hold of the aftertaste. The body on the brew is very light and easy flowing and carbonation on the higher side. I think that part is outstanding, it helps the flavor to pop on the palate.
Overall: There's alot I think is very Outstanding about this brew. The Appearance, the Aroma and the way if feels on my palate. Yet the flavor isnt bringing anything new to me. Is it balanced? Yes, very. Its just a bit laggish and lacking the brightness that I get in the Aroma. Don't think I'm bashing this brew. Far from it. I was just expecting maybe too much from this. At the end of the day, this brew is Worthy!

LOOK: Opaque golden yellow/orange with about one finger of fine, quickly-disappearing foam.
SMELL: Malt, hops, and a bit of pine and citrus.
TASTE: muted fruit, more pine, and a bit of hops.
FEEL: light and medium carbonation.
OVERALL: It’s pretty good. I’d buy it again.

To the untrained observer, my machinations may be hard to pick up on. Sure, brewery horizontals are fairly straightforward & obvious, but transitions and other subtleties may not be. My previous beer was an Evil Genius, but now I am segueing over to 3 Floyds as part of my next horizontal as I keep working to eradicate the backlog here at Chez Woody. It's the pesky, confounded bottles that I will not miss as they are emptied, rinsed & placed in the recycling bin.

I was anxious to welcome 3 Floyds back to PA after a distro hiatus on their part. I started by Pop!ping the cap on this one & following that with a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. It foamed nicely enough, forming just over a finger of foamy, soapy, rocky, eggshell-white head with decent retention. Color was deep enough for me to consider it a solid Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a peach/apricot/pear fruitiness along with a light pine/eucalyptus mintiness. Yum! Mouthfeel was a solid medium. The taste was an interesting admixture of fruit flavors, from the softer peach/apricot/pear as noted on the nose to a sweet tropical combination of mango/papaya/passion fruit to a sharp, citrusy sharpness of grapefruit/orange/tangerine. Yum! Finish was semi-dry with the fruit flavors finally being joined again by the pine/eucalyptus mintiness. Yum Yum! YMMV.

L: Orange to gold, unfiltered with a short term half-finger froth and spotty lace.
S: Very floral and honey aroma
T: Follows nose, decent hop profile for a session.
F: Medium smooth body, off-dry.
O: Not the greatest depth of flavor, but still a crushable session.
