Serving: On tap, sampler
Served: 7 May 2016

Appearance: Pours a soft rose-gold color with a cream head. Looks alright, but I'm sure it'd look better out of the sampler glass.

Smell: Definitely can tell this is a brett beer, as you can easily detect the funk happening in this one. Notes of grass and pine from the hops and some banana/fruit esters from the yeast.

Taste: Picking up a solid assertion of the brett, even in the sampler, but one that is not overly dominant. The malt is somewhat one-note--light caramel sweetness and a bit of earthiness. The hops add some spice but not a ton.

Mouthfeel: Suprisingly medium body given the ABV. Medium carbonation. Pretty good for the style.

Overall: Not the best brett beer I've had, and not the best from FFF either. I'd give it a shot if you want, but I wasn't overly impressed.

Copper with a fluffy ring and creamy lacing.

Lemon, apple, banana, and brett and yeast spice on the nose.

Musty, grassy, light barnyard funk flavors with some spicy brett lightly scratching and drying the tongue. Not a bad interpretation of Orval.

New Batch 4/18/2016

On tap @ tomlinson tap room

"belgian strong pale" 8%

A- Pale yellow with fluffy white head
S- Fruity esters, a bit of funk (not too much)
T- Fruity (bananas & tropical fruits), clean and crisp
F- Thin to medium, but work well with flavors to be "light"
O- I actually enjoyed this... didn't think I would, but wanted to try. This beer is pretty solid

What a treat! I haven't seen this beer on in over a year. Pours light golden in color with a thin, fast fading head. Decent lace.
Slightly doughy aroma with a hint of candied sugar. Fruity with a hoppy nose.
Sweet at the onset with the hint of plums, alcohol and candied sugar. A hoppy bite is there, but not as pronounced as I remember from the last time I had this. Of course, this is an aged keg from that same batch. A dry finish left me wanting more.
Soft body with fine carbonation.
A nice example of the style with the 3 Floyds twist. I hope this becomes a more regular offering after their pub opens. Please Nick?
