Gumballhead's former roommate and chum. BendTheKnee left to become a summer beer of his/its own. Brewed with Summer Wheat and Malt. Hopped with never German and American aromatic hops...good summer to you!

2015 vintage; drank 10/22/15 on draft @ Fischman's.
Semi-opaque pale orange appearance.
Frothy white head; a curtain of tree-rung lace.
Grapefruit & mango notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Faint grapefruit & mango flavors. Easy to drink, but way too mild. Forgettable.

On tap at the Bavarian Lodge, Lisle, IL:
Great brew... Clear golden in color with a nice pine hop aroma. The taste follows the nose with a nice pine hop taste, but not overly so. The beer had a light feel. It was very smooth and crisp. Overall, a solid brew.

Bend the Knee from keg at Whole Foods in Munster September 25 in sampler.
L - Bright clear yellow. Fine white bubbled head. Good lacing.
S - Sweet bubblegum. Rye. Grass.
T - Not too close to Gumballhead but would call it a cousin. Old fashioned type taste.
Feel - very nice for a lighter beer. Smooth but not watery. No carbonation bomb.
Overall - Not too close to Gumballhead but would call it a cousin. Old fashioned type taste.

Just had this funky brew on tap and with first sip I was a bit turned off. There is a fruity/pungent after taste that I'm not agreeing with. Maybe my 2nd one will go down better!
