2015--- Way past it's prime. I remember having a bottle fresh and it was enjoyable. This was tough to take down. Not infected, but the redeeming barrel and malts were gone and all that was present was pepper...pepper... and more pepper.

Scored this monster at the brewpub. A little steep at 35$ a bottle, but man was it worth it. So boozy that it will knock you on your ass. But at the same time, it's silky and bold. Dark as motor oil. Hardly any carbonation, but it suits it well

Appearance – The beer poured a milky black color with little head or carbonation noted.
Smell – The nose is sweet, with peppers betraying a sense of spice.
Taste – My first impression was the smooth milkiness of the stout. The spice is not overwhelming but creates a fair burn. This is far from a fire beer, but it has a nice bit of pepper. The lactose compliments the chocolate of the malts. The bourbon is not incredibly strong, but is most present in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel – The smoothness of a milk stout is apparent with a mild burn of pepper.
Overall - This was another hit from Dark Lord Day 2016.
