2016 - Bottle #136/210
Poured from a wax-topped bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Black pour with a solid finger of foamy tannish head. Ruby highlights around the edges when held up to the light. Nice ring of lacing.
S: Tart cherries, sweet fruit, and a bit of oak/barrel funk. Still smells very fresh despite being nearly 3 years old.
T.F: Sweet up front... strong cherry... a bit tart (baking/pie cherries) but not really.... fruity and delicious... a bit of tang to balance it out. Dark roasted sugars in the background. Very light on the cocoa and espresso. Fruit dominant. Medium bodied.... smooth and syrupy.
O: A phenomenal beer.... a delicious mix of milk stout and cherry pie. An all-out fantastic brew. Very glad I got to try this one.

Bottle 130/210
Purchased on Tuesday, consumed on Thursday!
A- Black as regular moloko, but the head was a reddish brown and darker than the head of regular moloko
S- Cherry! Tons of cherry as if smelling cherry juice, a home made cherry pie, or cherry jam
T- The wylde cherry really dominates. I haven't ever had a beer with this much fresh and bright cherry flavor. Like tart pie cherry juice, but not tart. Sweet, but not too sweet. One the back end, you get some of the base beer notes like a bit of roasted coffee. There is also a bit of smooth barrel notes on the back as it warms. Supposed to be bourbon barrels, but I don't pick up any bourbon.
F- Really nice mouth feel. Full, but not syrupy.
O- This reminds me of Ginjinha, or Ginja, which is a portuguese liqueur made from adding tart cherries and sugar to brandy. This beer was pretty incredible.
