Kolsch brewed with a single hop varietal from France. Aroma is primarily pear, banana, and tropical fruits. Secondary flavors of grainy malt and floral notes are also present balancing the fruit flavors. This beer is light bodied with a bitter, dry finish.

Draft. Clear golden yellow body. Crisp bread, light floral and earthy hops, touch of straw and biscuit. Clean, crisp and refreshing. Medium lighter body and appropriately carbonated. A wonderful kolsch style beer, and honestly enjoyed this one more than I did New Glarus' limited run of this. They should release this in six packs- I would buy this every single summer.

Taste: crisp, dry, champagne mouth-feel, pear, with clean finish. Herbal, earthy nose. Pale Straw hue, slight haze, delicate head in taster glass. Medium/lite body.

On draft, pint glass.
Yellow clear colored beer with medium foam head upon pour. I'm not the biggest kolsh fan but I enjoyed it. Lemon, citrus aroma and flavor. Relatively light and refreshing, especially after a day of golfing. Maybe a bit dry towards the very end but I wouldn't mind getting this again on a hot summer day.

On tap at the Bavarian Lodge, Lisle, IL:
The beer appeared a nice light, but hazy, yellow. Nice lacing. The aroma was that of syrup malt. The taste was good and balanced as the style should be, but not of the standard of a good German kolsch. It was lacking the crispness that I normally get from the style. Good feel, light with good carbonation. Overall, a slightly better than average beer...but expected better from this brewery.
