Holy crap this was an amazing pilsner. I know I love this brewery but this beer was so surprisingly flavorful, balanced, rich and yet crisp and easy to drink. Looks absolutely fantastic, nice rocky pour produced a darker golden color with abundant fluffy white head and sheets of lingering lacing that stayed for a while. Smells of some more faint fruity hops - surprisingly for a pilsner - and then a good hit of malt, bread, vanilla and some caramel. Maybe a little faint nuttiness in the background. Some floral hoppy notes at the end. Taste follows the nose, but the more distant hops were so well integrated into the pilsner flavors that I found myself going back for sip after sip after sip. Fresh citrus notes. A pilsner's not supposed to taste this good! Smooth, mild, crisp mouthfeel and great carbonation. I really enjoyed this one.

On draft at savages. Golden, but not extremely clear. Finger worth of dense and creamy white colored crown. Leaves lacing throughout.
The nose brings some corn and crisp malts. Honey sweetness as well.
The taste comes in with some rather bitter hops. More hoppy than their Pilsner flying tigersault. Fruity, some corn.
Mouthfeel is crisp and dry with the bitterness in there as well.
Overall, it’s not three Floyds best representation of a German lager because of the bitter hop nature, but it’s still a nice treat.

On tap at the Bavarian Lodge, Lisle, IL:
This might be the best American-made German Pils that I have had. The beer had a great, crisp flavor, which was not over hopped...thankfully. Smooth, easy to drink and refreshing. If only I could get this in Georgia.

Look is transparent classic lager. Served with half a finger of white head.
Aroma is incredibly floral. Some lemony citrus hiding in the background.
Taste follows nose. Floral upfront and lemon mid palette. Finishes with a nice bitter hop bite.
Feel is clean and crisp.
Overall a unique twist on a pilsner. Definately enjoyable per style.
