Thicc Bois
3 Floyds Brewing Co.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Half Day Brewing on November 2, 2018. A full bodied, massively dry hopped, appropriately bitter lactose IPA brewed and inspired by the thiccest of the Thicc Bois. Dry hopped with 100% experimental hops from the Yakima Valley.

 

Moderate golden body, with ropes of fine bubble lacing. Nose is strong tropical fruit, resin underpinning. Flavor is punchy mango and peach, with a punishing bitter back. The flaw here is this close, which is a bit overpowering.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pint on draft at a local beer bar, poured with fairly minimal head into branded FFF glassware. Lightly fruited, but somewhat nebulous and not the usual tropical combos so in fashion with lactose IPAs at the moment--likely attributed to the experimental hops that 3 Floyds loves playing with. I enjoyed this more and more as it approached room temperature.

 

 

 

Draft at 3Floyds. Very slight yellow-amber haze appearance with good foam and carbonation. Very aromatic. Pineapple taste in there, and a good mouthfeel. The lacto does become more noticeable and imparts a good bit of sweetness as it warms.
