A nice treat to try this little known brew, while at the brewery over the summer, different hops added, then its brother beer Romulus. (Cant remember, didnt write down which hops are in this one) Minor nose here and what seems like less hop presence. Everyday ale, pleasant enough, but nothing special. Worthy little sessioner at best

II took the twin taste test at 3 Floyds. Remus vs. Romulus

A: Light yellow in color kind of cloudy. There was a medium head that died down to a small lily pad.

S: Tons of nice sweet floral hops. Fresh cut grass and grapefruit.

T: Nice sweetened grapefruit taste. There is some malt in there as well to balance things out. Wonderful tasting brew. I liked it slightly better than its twin brother. Remus Rules Rome.

M: Nice and light. Effervescent brew.

D: I drank these beers in a vertical 1/2 pint taste test. Could drink it pint after pint though.

Overall: God do I love 3 Floyds. Thank God I don't live in Indiana or I would have a true drinking problem. I had 4 beers during my session and this one was quite possibly my favorite. I love it, and I love 3 Floyd's.

this was billed as the twin beer to romulus, the only difference being the single hop type use, in this case the bravo hop variety per the beer menu. like it's twin, this clocks in at 56 IBUs. looking exactly like romulus, this is a deep clear straw/light apricot in color. the bouqet was lighter on this, i did not get the herbal character of romulus, but it did have some citrus and bready malts going on. a well-balanced beer between the sweet doughy malts and the nice hop bitterness. 3f's hops are typically so well-integrated that they don't seem astringent or overly bitter. got some citrus in the back end as it went down. almost medium-bodied. very sessionable at 5% but not as complex, obviously, as most of their other offerings. these two were a good lesson in the two hop types.
