Tasted in a snifter from draft at Kuma's Corner on May 21, 2019. Look is clear bright amber. Notes of tangerine, dark berry, lemon and pine resin. Feel is medium in body with a somewhat bitter finish.

Pours copper with a bright citrus smell. Bitter lemon floral taste. Fantastic fun to drink a 5 oz pour, but couldn’t drink a six pack.

Few breweries can attack a hop cone quite like 3 Floyds. Engaging with some of the most coveted hops on the planet, they go war with the "hazy" trend with a bitter, fruity and aromatic IPA of imperial status once more.
Pale and hazy in copper, Battlepuss grabs the nose with a radiant citronella perfume of lemon, orange, grapefruit and a herbal, grassy, tea-like collection of botanicals. A backbone of mild caramel and honey bridge the nose with the flavor as the initial taste is briskly of granola.
But then the malt sweetness retreats and the swelling hops easily dominate the middle palate. Pink grapefruit is met with a boost of mandarin orange, As a backdrop of lemon, blueberry and passionfruit rises in support the citrus, the flavors develop a strategical bitterness of pepper and pine.
A tepid malt balance provides roundness to the medium bodied, strong IPA before a botanical finish of green tea and gin warm the finish and provide a long and resinous grip on the throat that's slow to release. Battlepuss is a beer that's firmly rooted in bitter IPA tradition but enjoys a few juicy upgrades of contemporary hoppping techniques to win over palates throughout the land.
