This is a 2019 variant of Dark Lord Russian-Style Imperial Stout aged in Calvados barrels. This was surprisingly sweet. Maybe a touch too much. Tasted a touch of strawberry but also some apple which really added a nice flavor to the deep chocolate taste.

I am always impressed with Dark Lord Variants. This is no exception. I got a lot of crisp apple juice- much more than just barrel notes. Fantastic MF as usual for these stouts
