From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This mighty brew pours a
deep obsidian with a nice head of brown foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and shows some nice lacing.
Nose of whiskey, oak, dark cocoa, faint dark coffee, spicy
rye, and light vanilla. Flavors hit the mark with spicy rye
whiskey, oak, light vanilla, char, dark cocoa, dark coffee
touches, and deeply roasted malts. Warmth brings
about notes of tobacco and dark berry nuances. Nice
mouth feel; full body, smooth, coating, medium light
carbonation proving some nice lift, and a rich and
full bitter malt finish that is warming and moderately
dry.
Overall, more excellence from the Floyd folk!
Cheers
