A rich imperial milk stout with a very powerful taste, smell, efficiency, and heat level that is the result of combining a ton of cocoa nibs, cherries, and dried bananas to make the ultimate milk stout.

Received a 12 oz bottle as part of the Barleywine/Stout BIF#1 on 11-4-23 courtesy of mikexw. Bottled in 2023; consumed for review 4-3-25.

Beer poured black with a nice tan head with the original pour.

Nose is very nice, getting wood forward whiskey with some cocoa.

Taste is nicely done as the large roasted malt base takes on the cocoa, cherry, and banana adjuncts and all in all they have assimilated nicely. Barrel initially brought high heat and is now working as a backstage hand balancing the sweet malts and adjuncts.

Mouthfeel medium to large bodied and is silky smooth,

Overall, given i am sensitive to the cherry flavor in beer, this has aged nicely between closets and beer fridges!

12oz bottle. Date etching on bottle is 'Bottled 2022'.
Black colored body, with a very thin mahogany back lit edge. Not much of a mocha head but a moderate surface storm persists. Thin film left behind.
Aroma is bourbon soaked roasted malts and chocolate, with a high and sweeter note of cherry and banana.
Taste is very similar to a confectionery of bourbon soaked chocolate covered cherries. Long lasting additional sweetness and a banana note at the end. The bourbon barrel is not harsh at all but rather very smooth.
More than medium mouthfeel. Sticky syrup texture. Supportive carbonation.
A true sipper with excellent balance and constitution.

Dark brown ( almost black) color. One-finger thick, beige head. Chocolate, cherries, bananas, and vanilla in the aroma. Sweet, malty taste with a warming finish. Not bad but on the sweet side

This one pours a very dark black color, with a tiny head, and no lacing.

This smells quite chocolatey, with dried cherry, tobacco, caramel, and a touch of roasted banana.

The banana character is not incredibly strong here, but it’s there, especially as the beer warms a little bit. It’s mostly a chocolate cherry show here, with the cherry being dry and not all that jammy or cough syrupy, to my happiness. There’s a really distinct oakiness on the finish that I really enjoy as well.

This is thick, but not as thick as some of the Dark Lords can be, and definitely not as sweet, despite the adjuncts used.

I love seeing some of these other non Dark Lord FFF stouts on the shelves – they are fun to try.

Pours a deep dark brown to black color with no appreciable head. The nose has some modest notes of chocolate and a very faint essence of bourbon. The sweetness of the bourbon really comes on in the flavor profile. There are also flavor notes of dark cherries and the banana asserts itself on the back end. The mouthfeel is slightly sticky.
