(69 days old) Light amber, light haze. Excellent lacing. Big hoppy aroma. Great Citra hop character: Citrus on top with tropical around the edges. Goes down very easy. FFF calls all their West Coast IPAs pale ales, but this is a quintessential American IPA.

I actually drink a lot of different beer. And I've read enough review to bring me to buying a 12pk of this. I can't say anything bad about this beer. And I was skeptical mostly of the age at which I bought this pale ale, which is now about 17 weeks from the packaged date on the case. I mean typically I drink beers within 3 months of the date on the can - no matter what and even more so in the IPA/pale ale world (less pale ale). I digress; this beer is absolutely shocking me how smooth it is. And I wanted to immediately compare it to a sierra nevada, and I could because it is on the first half of the sip. But the back end of this is where it actually is better than a sierra nevada pale ale. And I can only truly say that when you consider the abv of this, it is kind of nuts how smooth the finish is. I don't know what else to say but this is a phenomenal pale ale.

I do not like IPAs. But I suppose if I did I'd think this one is weak and inoffensive.

Look – 3.75
Pours a deep golden to light amber color — darker than many pale ales and edging toward IPA territory. There’s a slight haze in the glass, giving it a fuller appearance. It has a substantial look overall, almost like it could pass for a double at first glance.

Smell – 3.75
Aroma leans toward old-school hop character — classic Cascade vibes. Bright citrus with a familiar, slightly resinous edge. There’s a nostalgic quality here that reminds me of earlier American pale ales and IPAs.

Taste – 4.25
Well-balanced with a noticeable sweetness up front. There’s a distinct fruity note — almost a sweet cherry character — that sits front and center. The hop profile pops with familiar flavors; I’d even guess there could be some Simcoe contributing to that layered fruit impression. For a pale ale, this drinks full-bodied and substantial. If someone told me this was a fruity IPA or even a hazy-leaning IPA, I’d believe it. It blurs stylistic lines a bit in a good way.

Mouthfeel – 4.25
Round and smooth. Fuller than expected for the style, with a soft texture that supports the sweetness and hop expression nicely.

Overall – 4.25
Very delicious and satisfying. I’m not sure I’d personally call it a perfect 100-point beer, but it’s easy to see why so many people love it. It delivers bold flavor, body, and character while remaining highly drinkable.

12oz canned 10-27-25, opened 2-8-26.
2 finger off white head that doesn't budge. Orange-gold and opaque body. Thick, sticky lacing.
Orange, pine, caramel, bready -- classic aroma.
Citrus, lemon, caramel malt flavors and a floral/piney hop presence.
Medium body with some heft/chew. Fine, creamy carbonation. Moderate but persistent and clean bitterness in a flavorful finish that has just a touch of sweetness.
Outstanding.

A good beer, pale flavor not too hoppy with a smooth finish, is it perfect, no. But at the right price its beats out competitors , certainly worth a try

Solid, tasty, well balanced pale almost an ipa due to the hoppy bite with good palate heft, nice malty/piney/citrusy flavor and slightly lingering aftertaste. Very quaffable indeed & disappears dangerously fast and easy!
