Xtremely dark brown pour, no light passes, big tan head and some great lacing. The vanilla jumps out as soon as the bottle's opened, there's some chocolate lingering also. Flavor's similar, there's some dark fruit and booze also. Great mouthfeel. This is listed as a Pastry Stout, it's has addedjunque, but it's not that bad. Terrific beer!

Pours black and settles pure black in the glass with a foamy, creamy tan head that lingers as a nice cap on the beer and provides a surprising amount of lacing for a 13% ABV beer. Gorgeous BA imperial stout.
The nose is led by vanilla and dark chocolate aromas, and there’s a bit of stone fruit and oak from the barrel, with a lingering boozy note wafting from the glass.
The vanilla is proudly forward on the taste, with the dark chocolate and dark cherry flavors following with oak and a warming boozy note on the finish. Delicious.
The mouthfeel is full and creamy, on par for a beer of this gravity. Three Floyds nailed this, IMHO.

This one was fine but fell below expectations based on the high scores here. Too heavy on vanilla, too light on the barrel. Vanilla has an artificial feel to it. I don't think they're using vanilla extract but that's what I'm getting from it.

Black pour with no head and minimal carbonation. Smell is of bourbon, and taste is vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. Smooth and medium bodied. Another excellent barrel aged stout from 3 Floyds!

Aroma is roasted malts, bourbon/whiskey and a slightly odd hint of S’mores. The flavor is roasted malts, chocolate/cacao, vanilla/cookie and a very acidic/bourbon alcohol finish.

A rich, elegant, and lovely imperial stout enhanced with vanilla beans before being barrel aged to perfection.
