A fantastic consolation to find this on draft in Ohio for Winking Lizard's 40th anniversary, particularly after having realized we missed this goofy draft-only variant at Dark Lord Day this year. And what more fitting a beer to tap on 9/11, at $8 a pour, no less?!
Appearance is surprisingly dull matte black, almost giving muddy dark brown vibes, with a quite thin tan sheet for a head.
The banana is actually apparent right up front, but of a boozy rum flambeed sort, pairing with a lightly bittering barrel char that somehow enhances the malt roasts in a way you don't often get in DL. The pineapple might provide a little tang, but I really don't get a lot of its flavor.
It's also drier and boozier than normal DL, thus a bit more quaffable actually.
