Has an exceptional look to it - very appealing to the eyes with its darkly hued orange color and a scent that hints of a sweet tasting beer, but far from it when you taste it. Mouthfeel is astringent to me and slightly tacky. The taste is sour to my tongue with a dry aftertaste to chase it. Overall though, I find this layered - different ones that made the experience unique.

Pours slightly orange with a quick, thin head and no lacing.
Smell is bright lemon with orange underneath.
The taste snacks citrus and sour but mellows on the finish.
The feel is medium body, slightly thin carbonation, with a mildly oily finish.
Overall, this is well done, but I didn't expect it to be sour, and that's not really something I enjoy often.

poured from a 12oz can into a half pint glass. pours a slightly hazy yellowish orange with half a finger of foam head. super citrusy on the nose and taste. almost a sour fruit taste in the finish but not off putting sour. it’s really refreshing. almost like a shandy. medium-full mouthfeel with a prickly carbonation to the finish. really good. i enjoyed this one a lot.

I was very excited to try the new gumballhead beers..a blood orange and lemon peel wheat beer sounded very good. It is a good brew but not exactly what I expected. I wanted a lot more blood orange flavor. The lemon is good but it dominates the flavor.

What the fuck is this shit?
Seriously... what the fuck is this shit?
I get it. Hard seltzers now outsell beer by a wide margin. The Bud/Coors/Miller Light/Lite drinkers who used to keep the macro industry afloat have switched to cheaper and faster methods of inebriation. The "craft" scene for some reason pivoted to mostly not-very-good iterations of fruity and sour Belgian styles well over a decade ago, and 99% of buyers cannot tell the difference between an artfully brewed gueuze and a lab-constructed neutral malt beverage product that had some chemical souring agents poured into it.
This all makes sense. I'm sure the braintrust at the Floyds who shuttered the tap room to focus their energies on a rapidly oversaturating liquor market looked at some very intelligent spreadsheets and realized that making something like this was a very intelligent business decision.
But, jesus. Just... fuck.
Tastes indistinguishable from literally thousands of other fruited sours being produced across the country right now. All the craft has vanished. There's nothing special here. No trace of the once-legendary yeast and malt backbone of the Floyds. It's mildly alcoholic juice that isn't wine. It is an encapsulation of the state of the craft beer scene in the twenty twenties.

Pours a slightly unfiltered golden straw color with a foamy white head that lingers. Definitely looks like Gumballhead, but that’s where the similarity ends, with the nose packed with orange and especially lemon notes, and that’s where the taste ends as well, with beer drinking like a shandy instead of a pale wheat beer.
The mouthfeel keeps it very refreshing, but I really wish the OG Gumballhead was granted the opportunity to make an appearance in this beer.

Lightly foggy pale yellow with a tall white foam head.
Extra orange, and extra extra lemon, it's practically a full on radler, and honestly a bit too tart. I can't find Gumballhead in here at all.

A - Light hazy gold with thin
S - Light grain malt base gets overshadowed with zesty blood orange and lemon.
T - Blood orange and lemon zest up front carries it entirely through to the finish. There's an ever-so-slight delicate graininess that pokes through but gets crushed once again with the juicy tang of blood orange and lemon.
M - Medium body with sprightly pricklies on the top of the tongue.
O - Bought the Gumballhead Variety Pack because of the two IPA variants and this one turned out being my favorite, really dig the zesty tang.

This is a pretty darn good version of this brewer's flagship beer ... Definite citrus bomb ..very refreshing and a good session beer at under five percent!
