Matte black with a shorter than usual dark tan blanket.

Totally devoid of the "pink champagne" characteristics I experienced in the sauternes barrel aged 2019 variant, the toasted coconut is more present on the nose here than I remember as well. This translates to more amplification of roast on the palate, surprisingly increasing bitterness in conjunction with barrel char.

Far more mature than many Dark Lords, the full body is cut by a fine crispness and finishes fairly cleanly semi-dry with a numbing zap that allows for more swirls on subsequent sips. The exhale is chocolate covered almond paired with bourbon.
