Ever have another inmate givin’ you that look (Ice Grille) in the mess hall like he’ll shank you over that piece of toast? This Belgian-style Dubble, light amber ale with hint soft raisins and dried plums was aged for over a year in bourbon barrels.

Tap at the source a few months back, full flavored dark brown, big bourbon nose with raisins and plums. Easy drinking with dark fruity bourbon front and a slightly carbonated sweet bourbon finish. The slight carbonation causes a nice mouthfeel that's very enjoyable. Overall another great floyds barrel aged beer from a not so common barrel aged style.

Pours a dark, murky brown color with less than a finger of off-white head. Quickly dissipating head.
The nose is full of bourbon soaked raisins, toasted coconut, caramel, and more dark fruits.
The taste is a rich and warm array of bourbon, raisins, vanilla, raisin bread, sweet fig pudding and a nutty flavors. Well hidden ABV. The dark fruits contribute a vinious flavor as it warms.
The mouthfeel is medium-thick and has low carbonation. The vinious characteristics offer a light dryness in the finish.
Overall, another amazing barrel-aged offering from 3 Floyds! Love the base beer characteristics that shine with the bourbon barrle-aging.
